    Music Tech Lab Guidelines

    1. As we are in a new environment with lots of electronics, please treat the electronics with respect.

    2. DO NOT have drinks anywhere near or on the keyboard, monitor or pianos.

    3. ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD IN HERE! With how new and neat the room looks and all the new equipment in here, we must respect our space when operating in it accordingly.

    4. Please keep backpacks and other equipment OUT OF THE ISLES. We want to allow for people to walk comfortably through the room.

    5. Primarily we will be working on our desktop computers in this room.

    6. If you are unable to log into a desktop computer please use your laptops.

    7. If for any reason you must operate a keyboard, PLEASE USE HEADPHONES. If you do not have any headphones feel free to bring a set from home and plug them in.

    8. While you are in this room, you are NOT to go into the storage and ESPECIALLY the music office.

    Classroom Etiquette and Policy

    1. While we are in here, whenever an instruction is given by the teacher, please give the teacher your undivided attention so as to ensure everyone can fairly hear what is going on.

    2. Please respect all your classmates and group members while working on any assignments together or being here in this room.

    3. Please, only positivity! Lets keep this happy and healthy and free from any negativity or toxicity within our class.

    4. Assignments are to be completed promptly with in the allotted time or due date

    5. Failure to hand assignments in on time will result in a loss of points.

    6. I will be communicating with your parents regularly to indicate how you are doing in class. If students are missing assignments then there will be an email sent out to your parents and counselors as well indicating that you are missing work. Please do your best to stay on top of completing all assignments in a prompt manner.

    7. Bathroom usage will be kept in a weekly log of three times per week max.

    8. If you need to say something, please raise your hand.

    9. Open palm is for a question, a thumbs up is for the bathroom, for guidance hold up two fingers and three fingers for the nurse.

    10. Absolutely no one is to be on their phones unless specifically granted permission by the teacher. The only technology we are working with is a computer and piano, or chromebook.

    11. At the end when we finish up class, you will clean up and restore all desks, keyboard and computer equipment. Roll up headphones, put back your music stands, rotate back all computer monitors and keyboards, etc.

    12. Ultimately the goal is to make great music and push each other to make great music as well as working toward something greater than just ourselves.
