• Head Coach-Coach Atkins
    2024 Track Team

Welcome to the Perth Amboy High School Girls' Track & Field Program!

My name is Sean Atkins, and I’m proud to be a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 2006. During my time here as a student-athlete, I competed in football, winter track, and spring track all four years. I had the honor of serving as a two-time captain for both the football and track teams—experiences that taught me the true meaning of teamwork, leadership, and perseverance.

After graduating, I continued my academic and athletic journey at Kean University, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. My passion for sports and mentoring young athletes led me to a fulfilling career in coaching. Over the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching track and field eight years with the boys’ team and the last four years with the girls’ team, serving as Head Coach for both the winter and spring seasons over the last two years.

I’m excited to bring my background in athletics and education to serve the amazing student-athletes at Perth Amboy High School. My mission is to support and guide our students not only in their athletic goals but also as they face academic and personal challenges. I believe in helping every athlete reach their full potential on and off the track. This is more than a sport. It’s your journey. Your legacy. Your family. Give your best, hold your sisters close, & run with purpose. One Team. One Dream. One Family. All In.

As a team, our goals for this season are clear:

    • Win the White Division Championship

    • Be a top contender in the GMC

    • Score points and place at the County and Sectional Championships

    • Achieve a Personal Record (PR) at every meet

    • Promote a family culture of unity, support, and shared success
